We are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.
We focus on improving the customer experience and contract public and private operators to deliver customer-focused transport services on our behalf.

We also lead the procurement of transport infrastructure and oversee delivery through project delivery offices and industry delivery partners.

About you:

  • You have a great attitude and the ability to learn quickly by following instructions.
  • You have completed Year 10 or hold a Record of School Achievement (RoSA) or equivalent.
  • You have demonstrated basic computer literacy
  • You possess or are in the process of obtaining an Australian motor vehicle drivers licence
  • You are able to commence full time employment in January 2021
  • You are comfortable with consistent travel and working away from home in rural areas during the week, occasionally including nightshifts and weekend-work.

  • Analyse, document and process map the current support arrangements

  • Develop an updated support model - identifying tasks, delineation the support tasks performed, resourcing needs, service model and SLA's as well as vendor engagement
  • Document the proposed support model
  • Assist with the transition to the new support model

Skills needed:

1. It will be essential that you have skills, a background and experience in:

  • Service delivery and ITIL or similar methodology
  • Mapping and modelling business procedures
  • Documenting policies and procedures and creating operating manuals and documentation
  • Problem solving, analytical and critical thinking and experience with agile practices and digital delivery
  • Stakeholder management including and excellent written, documentation and communication skills
  • Business process improvement within an IT environment.
  • Leading and facilitating workshops with various stakeholders.

2.  As an ideal candidate you will also bring with you:

  • Experience leading the implementation of a significant business or process change
  • ITIL or similar methodology qualifications or certification will be highly regarded
